Heading tags (H1-H6)
The HTML headings H1 to H6 that structure your text and help both readers and Google understand how your page is built.

Heading tags are the HTML headings from H1 through H6 with which you organize your text in layers. They make your page readable for visitors and help Google understand how your content is built.
How do you use heading tags correctly?
You give each page exactly one H1: the main title that summarizes in one sentence what the page is about. Below it you use H2s for the major sections and H3s for details within those sections. The hierarchy matters: you do not jump from an H2 to an H4, because that breaks the logical structure. A good heading structure reads like a table of contents that immediately makes clear what the page covers, before anyone reads a paragraph.
Why are headings important for SEO?
Google reads your headings to weigh the structure and topic of your page. An H2 that repeats a concrete question, with a clear answer beneath it, stands a good chance of being featured as a featured snippet. Well-structured content is moreover easier to store and retrieve for AI systems, which convert and keep your text for that purpose in a vector database. Headings also drive scannability: most visitors read the headings first and only then decide whether to stay. Do not confuse headings with your title tag, which sits in the code and drives the search results; headings appear visibly in the page itself.
Customer Impact’s B2B angle
We write headings from the buyer’s search intent, not to stack keywords. In B2B, decision-makers take their time, but only if they immediately see that a page answers their question. A clear heading structure leads the reader to the point where they get in touch. For us it does not matter how attractive the structure looks, but whether it guides the right visitor toward a request. That is the SEO that delivers customers.
