Front-end framework
A ready-made structure of code that makes building the visible, interactive side of a website faster and more consistent.

A front-end framework is a ready-made collection of code and patterns that helps developers build the visible, interactive side of a website faster and in a more structured way. Instead of setting up every button, every form and every menu interaction from scratch, the framework offers reusable building blocks that work the same everywhere on your site. Well-known examples are React, Vue and Svelte.
What exactly does a front-end framework do?
The frontend is everything your visitor sees and touches in the browser. A framework arranges how those components are built, how they respond to clicks and how they refresh their content without reloading the whole page. It builds on the basic technology of the web, such as JavaScript and CSS, but takes a lot of recurring work off your hands. As a result, a large site stays organized and buttons and menus behave consistently.
Why this matters for your B2B website
For a B2B company, a website is not about technical showmanship, but about leads and revenue. A framework indirectly helps with that: it makes maintenance cheaper, new pages faster to build and the site more stable during growth. At the same time it is not an obligation. For many business sites a lighter approach is fine, because extra code can actually drag down your page speed. The choice depends on how interactive your site needs to be.
When do you choose it?
If you have a site with many dynamic screens, dashboards or a single-page application, a framework pays off. For a mostly informative site with a few forms it is often overkill. At Customer Impact we choose the technology that serves the business goal, not the other way around. A framework is a means to build faster and more reliably, not a goal in itself, and certainly no reason to make your site needlessly heavy.
