What is retention?
Retention is the percentage of customers you keep over a given period. It is the mirror of churn: high retention means that people stay because they get value from what you offer.
Why retention wins
Winning a new customer costs a multiple of retaining an existing one. Moreover, satisfied customers buy more, stay longer and bring in others. Retention increases your lifetime value and indirectly lowers your acquisition cost.
