The percentage of visitors who take a desired action, and the art of increasing that percentage.

What is conversion rate?
The conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who take a desired action, a purchase, a request, a sign-up. If you count 50 leads out of 1,000 visitors, your conversion rate is 5%.
Conversion rate = (number of conversions ÷ number of visitors) × 100
Conversion rate optimization (CRO)
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is the systematic improvement of that percentage: better copy, clearer call-to-actions, faster pages and less friction in the process. A higher conversion rate means more revenue from the same traffic, often cheaper than buying extra visitors.
Why it is crucial
If you double your conversion rate, you double your result without one euro of extra ad budget. That is why CRO is one of the highest-returning levers in growth marketing.
