Web hosting
The service that keeps your website's files on an always-reachable server, so that visitors can open your site anywhere and at any time.

Web hosting is the service that stores your website’s files on an always-reachable server, so that everyone can open your site at any moment. Without hosting, your website exists only on a local computer and is visible to no one. The hosting provider ensures that your pages, images and code are online continuously and delivered quickly to every visitor.
How does web hosting work?
When someone types your address, DNS translates it into the correct server address and the web server sends the requested page back to the browser. The hosting environment is the place where that server runs and keeps your files. Hosting comes in various forms: from a shared server on which several sites run together to a dedicated server for heavy applications. The choice partly determines how many visitors you can handle at once and how fast your site responds.
Why hosting counts for your result
Hosting seems a technical detail, but it directly affects your revenue. A slow or regularly unreachable server costs you visitors and therefore leads. Fast hosting helps your page speed and your Core Web Vitals, which both your users and search engines appreciate. A CDN also brings your files closer to the visitor. For a B2B company where one customer has a lot of value, reliable reachability is not a luxury but a basic requirement.
What do you look at when choosing?
Look beyond the price. Important are uptime, speed, an included SSL certificate for a secure connection, and solid support when something goes wrong. Cheap hosting that takes your site down every so often ultimately costs more than it saves. At Customer Impact we see hosting as a foundation: it does not have to be the most expensive choice, but it must carry your business goals instead of slowing them down.
