Social proof is the psychological principle that people follow the behaviour of others when they are unsure. On your website this translates into reviews, testimonials, customer logos, case studies, figures and quality marks that prove others already trust you.
Why it converts
In B2B, a purchase is a risk: no one wants to choose the wrong supplier. Social proof takes away that doubt by showing that comparable companies already chose you and benefited from it. It is often the difference between considering and deciding.
How to use it powerfully
Concrete and recognisable works best: a specific result (“400% conversion growth”) convinces more than vague praise. Place proof close to your call-to-action, precisely where the visitor overcomes their final doubt.
