You have been paying for ads on Google and Meta for months, the invoices keep coming, and when you ask whether results are guaranteed, you get an evasive answer. It is understandable that you then think: isn’t there a single agency in Belgium that will simply guarantee me results? In this article you will read why your current agency is probably right not to give a hard guarantee, what you can demand instead, and how to find a partner who takes real responsibility for your numbers.
First things first: no guarantee is not the same as no quality
It feels unsafe. You have watched money disappear into campaigns that delivered little, so an agency that says “we guarantee results” sounds like the safe choice. Yet it is often the opposite.
A serious agency refuses to promise a fixed number of customers or a fixed revenue figure by a set date, because honestly, it does not control all of that on its own. Whether an ad produces a customer depends on your offer, your price, your website, the market and above all your own sales follow-up. An agency that acts as if it steers that entire chain single-handedly is deliberately over-promising. The agency that loudly shouts “guaranteed results” has usually worded that guarantee so it is always achievable, without saying anything about the quality you actually need. Why it works that way, you can read in lead generation with a guarantee.
In other words: the fact that your agency gives no hard guarantee can be a sign of honesty. The real question is not whether they guarantee, but what they take responsibility for.
What you can demand from your advertising partner
You cannot force the outcome, but you can demand everything that predicts the outcome. This is what a good partner does commit to:
- A sharp target and lead definition. Which customer, which region, which buying signal counts. A lead that falls outside that does not count.
- Transparent reporting. Which numbers you get, how often, and which definition sits underneath. No vague reach figures, but cost per lead and lead-to-deal.
- Ownership of your own accounts. Your Google Ads and Meta Business Manager account, your pixels and your data are in your name. Read why this is crucial in ownership of your Google Ads account.
- A correction mechanism. What happens when the numbers disappoint: adjusting course, replacing leads, or revising the plan.
- An honest lead time. Ads need time to learn and to deliver. How much time, you can read in how long it takes for Google Ads to work.
That is not a guarantee on a number, but a guarantee on process and quality. And that is exactly what predicts whether your ad budget produces pipeline or goes up in smoke.
”But I just want someone to carry the risk”
That is a fair wish, and honest models exist for it. They guarantee no magic, but they put the risk where it belongs.
- No cure no pay or performance-based. You pay (partly) based on delivered results instead of a fixed retainer. This only works if the lead definition and the attribution are crystal clear, otherwise you pay for leads that are not leads. The conditions are covered in lead generation on a no cure no pay basis.
- An SLA on quality. A service level agreement pins down the lead definition, the quality threshold, the division of roles and the correction. Both sides commit: the agency to quality and process, you to fast follow-up.
- Realistic expectations, in writing. A good agency says upfront what is achievable for your budget and sector. What you can expect is set out in the results to expect from a Google Ads agency.
The difference with an empty guarantee is that these models give you insight and control, instead of a nice number in bold type on the quote.
Is there an agency in Belgium that guarantees results?
Short answer: an agency that promises you a fixed number of customers by a fixed date today is one I would distrust. An agency that takes responsibility for your results, with an honest model and transparent numbers, is what you should be looking for. Recognise a reliable partner by these signals:
- It first asks questions about your margins, your sales follow-up and your target audience, before promising anything.
- It wants the accounts in your name and gives you full access.
- It talks in pipeline and revenue, not in clicks and reach.
- It states honestly what it expects from you. An agency that “handles everything” is over-promising.
More red flags can be found in red flags at a lead generation agency, and a broader compass in choosing the best digital marketing agency.
And what if I simply want to switch?
You can, and you need to lose nothing in the process, as long as your own accounts are in your name. Your campaigns, your history and your pixels stay yours. How to arrange that cleanly, you can read in switching Google Ads agency and transferring your website to another agency. If your accounts are in your current agency’s name, request access first. That is your right.
Still unsure whether it is the agency or the campaigns themselves? An independent audit gives you certainty before you cancel anything. And if you are thinking more broadly about Google versus Meta for your goal, read Google Ads vs Meta Ads.
Our approach: guarantees on process, steering on results
We do not promise a fixed number of customers by a fixed date, because that would be dishonest. What we do commit to is a sharp target audience definition, full access to your own accounts, transparent reporting in cost per lead and lead-to-deal, and a correction mechanism when the numbers disappoint. Where it fits, we work with a performance component, so that our interest and yours point in the same direction. That is how we approach your paid advertising and your lead generation across the whole chain, not on isolated clicks.
We are a small team in Belgium, so we move fast and often do more than you expect. Tell us your goal and your current situation, and we will explain honestly what we can and cannot guarantee. Schedule your free intake and you will hear within 24 hours where your opportunities lie.
