Vibe coding

Building software by describing your intent in natural language, after which an AI writes the code; you steer on the result instead of typing every line yourself.

By Tanguy De Keyzer · Founder & digital strategist

Vibe coding is building software by describing in plain language what you want, after which an AI writes the code. You no longer type every line yourself, but give a large language model an instruction, look at what it produces and adjust with a follow-up prompt. You work at the level of intent and result, not at the level of syntax.

How does it work?

In practice you describe a feature or a small screen, the AI generates the code, and you test whether it does what you meant. If something does not work, you explain that in words and let it try again. Tools and AI agents can run part of that loop themselves: write code, run it, see errors and correct. This way you quickly move from idea to something that works, often without understanding every technical layer in detail.

Why it counts for B2B

The pragmatic gain is speed. An internal dashboard, a rough prototype or a small automation script that used to wait weeks on the planning is now up and running in hours. For a B2B organisation that means testing ideas faster and solving internal bottlenecks without immediately starting a large development project. It lowers the threshold to improve a process that really counts for your team.

The pitfall

Quickly building something that works is not the same as building something solid. AI-generated code can contain subtle errors, weak security or sloppy structure that you only feel later. The closer an application comes to real customer data or payments, the more oversight and review you need from someone who does understand the code. So use vibe coding where it is strong, for prototypes and internal tools, and build production-critical software with the necessary control instead of blindly trusting the vibe.
