Rich snippets
Enriched search results with extra elements like stars, prices or FAQs, powered by structured data on your page.

Rich snippets are enriched search results in which Google shows extra elements, such as star ratings, prices, FAQs or event dates. They make your result stand out more in the search results without your position itself changing.
How do you get rich snippets?
Rich snippets arise from structured data that you add to your page, usually via schema markup in JSON-LD. That code tells Google explicitly what a piece of information means: this is a rating, this a price, this a frequently asked question. Google reads that and can then highlight it. Important to know: adding structured data does not guarantee a rich snippet. Google decides case by case whether it shows the enrichment. You lay the groundwork, but the search engine keeps the final decision.
What do rich snippets deliver?
An enriched result takes up more space and draws more attention, which can raise your click-through rate, even if you are not in first place. Do not confuse rich snippets with the featured snippet: that is the highlighted answer block at the very top, while a rich snippet enriches your ordinary result with extra elements. Both increase your visibility in the SERP, but through a different mechanism. Together they make your brand more prominently present at the moment someone searches.
Customer Impact’s B2B nuance
Many rich snippets, such as stars and webshop prices, are made for e-commerce and do not suit B2B. So we do not blindly chase every enrichment, but choose what strengthens your brand: FAQ blocks on service pages, or clear organisation and breadcrumb data. The goal is not a nicer-looking result for its own sake, but visibility that leads the right decision-maker to an enquiry. Honest structured data that matches your page remains the foundation, because Google penalises abuse.
