Lazy loading

Technique that only loads images and content at the moment the visitor needs them, so your page becomes usable faster.

By Tanguy De Keyzer · Founder & digital strategist

Lazy loading is a technique whereby you only load images, videos and other heavy content at the moment the visitor needs them, instead of everything at once when the page opens. This way the visible part of your page becomes usable faster.

How does it work in practice?

When someone opens a page, only the part that appears directly on screen needs to be loaded. Images further down wait until the visitor scrolls to them. That saves bandwidth and considerably speeds up the first load moment, which directly contributes to a better page speed and a healthier LCP. Especially on content-rich pages or mobile connections, this makes a noticeable difference in how fast your site feels.

What should you watch for?

Lazy loading is powerful, but requires care. Do not apply it to the most important image at the top, because that is exactly the one you want to show as fast as possible. Also always reserve the correct space for elements that load later, otherwise your layout shifts and your CLS worsens. Combined with a CDN and good compression, you get the most return while keeping the user experience stable.

Lazy loading according to Customer Impact

We deploy lazy loading where it speeds up the experience without harming the message. A fast page is not a technical trophy to us, but a way to hold visitors until they make a request. For B2B sites we ensure heavy visuals do not slow down your service and landing pages, while the content that convinces stays immediately visible. That way we improve your Core Web Vitals in a way that translates into fewer drop-offs and more quality leads. Technology in service of growth, not the other way around.

From theory to growth.

We turn Lazy loading into measurable results for your business.
